Folks, I certainly want to commend all the teams that have played so far -
coaches, players and parents - for doing a great job with picking up the trash
... let's keep up the good work.
A couple of things I need to
address:
(#1) Coaches - please emphasize to your parents to keep an eye on
their kids that are not playing in the games ... if we continually have kids
playing in the restrooms we will have no choice but to shut down the restroom
facilities ... kids go in there and it's beyond me why they want to play in the
toilets, but they throw paper, dirt and all kinds of things in the toilets
causing a mess ... I am not averse to bringing your child to you and making sure
everyone knows he/she was playing in the restroom ... PLEASE WATCH YOUR
KIDS!
(#2) We need to ALL be mindful of anyone we see on the Challenger
Field and if you see someone on the field, please tell them they are trespassing
and need to be off of it ... that is not a Western Field and we are not allowed
to be on it.
(#3) Please continue to try to help us on foul balls getting
turned back in either to the field or to the concession stand ... home run balls
are a different story ... if a kiddo hits a homer and mom and/or dad want the
ball I have no problem with those being kept.
Finally - just a quick
reminder to those that still have fees to pay or insurance waivers to turn in
... we will always have someone at the field (myself or at least one of my kids
will always be there) that can take what you have ... if you are looking for us,
please come to the press box on the Major Field (SW Field).
We are off to
a great start, especially with policing the grounds for trash, etc. ... thanks a
ton to all of you and I hope to see you at the ballpark!
